Diabetic Support Group For Every School

I was recently invited to join the Diabetic Support Group from The Marsh Academy Secondary School in Kent on their first meeting.

The group was set up to provide support, advice and friendship for pupils who are diabetic. It was such a great experience for me to meet the group and reminded me once more that diabetics are pretty awesome people. So we might not have a functioning pancreas but we have a fully functioning fabulous gland! These pupils were free to chat about whatever was going on with their school day, home life, and general diabetic probs.

I think having a group like this is something all schools should have. I applaud The Marsh Academy for being trailblazers and the diabetics for being FABULOUS!!!!
